What is the „Integrationtionsrat“?
The Integration Council is a local advisory body that represents the interests of people with an international background. It works with the City of Münster to promote integration, equal opportunities and social participation.
The Integration Council advises on policies and programs affecting international communities and fosters dialogue between them and local authorities.
It has a budget to support intercultural projects. 18 Members are elected in the Elections forthe Integration Council by internationalpeople and 9 are appointed by the City Council.
You can vote if you:
- are 16+ years old
- have lived in Münster at least 16 days before election
- have lived in Germany for at least 1 year
- have a foreign citizenship
or have dual/multiple citizenships
or are German by naturalization
or are German by law (e.g. through parents)
